The International Deaf Academy, as part of the Edge 2 Program, presents a distinctive internship opportunity. This program is tailored for individuals passionate about engaging in deaf academics and seeking firsthand experiences to enrich their professional journey. Through this internship, participants will gain invaluable insights into work environments, cultural dynamics, professional decorum, and avenues for career advancement.

Program Details:

Eligibility: Trainees enrolled in the following professional courses are invited to apply for the 3-month internship program:

  1. Diploma in Teaching Indian Sign Language

  2. Diploma in Indian Sign Language Interpreting

  3. Diploma in Special Education (Hearing Impairment)

  4. Bachelor in Special Education (Hearing Impairment)

The internship welcomes applications from both Deaf and Hearing trainees eager to enhance their skills within a professional setting.

​

The internship is also open to individuals who wish to explore working with the deaf community and be instrumental in bringing about positive changes.

​

Duration: 3 months; 8-10 hours per day

​
